Time: 10:30 am – 9:30 pm AWST

Location: Flux Base 191 Saint Georges Terrace, Perth, WA 6000

The cloudy skies of Jupiter have captivated people for centuries, and now NASA’s Juno spacecraft lets us have our closest ever view.

Come and spend a day exploring our solar system’s greatest planet. We’ll start in the morning learning the latest discoveries about Jupiter with a special planetarium session at Scitech. During the afternoon workshop we will learn how to process digital images from NASA’s JunoCam with the help of professional Astronomers and image processing experts. The event continues into the evening with a Perth Observatory Night Sky Tour, where you’ll be able to see Jupiter live and in person through the Observatory’s telescopes.

This event is aimed at university students and the public who have a keen interest in astronomy. Registration is via Eventbrite.
