Astronomy Australia Limited (AAL) has purchased 20 million service units (MSU) per year over the next two years on Gadi, the new Fujitsu system at the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI). This time is available to the national astronomy community and is aimed at facilitating large allocations running large-scale parallel computations. The resources are allocated through a competitive review process overseen by the AAL Supercomputer Time Allocation Committee (ASTAC) which is managed by ADACS.

The first call for this ASTAC Large Program for 20 MSUs available between 1 October 2020 and 30 June 2021 closed in July. There were four successful applications (summarised in the table below) which are now operational on Gadi.

Stayed tuned for the next call early in 2021 for 20 MSUs available between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022. Also for the regular ASTAC calls which occur each semester.
